I believe therapy has the power to transform people’s lives and improve their relationships. My areas of interest include family of origin conflicts, co-dependency, trauma, and couples work. I also have experience working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, peer relationships and life transitions including divorce, moving, having a baby, coming out and career changes. In my private practice I provide affirmative therapy to individuals and couples over 18 of different cultures, genders and sexual identities. I strive to build egalitarian relationships with clients, in which we can work together on setting goals and identifying strengths.
I use a psychodynamic approach in therapy, focusing on how early relational patterns affect current relationships and core beliefs. I help people examine how deep-seated emotions like shame and self-hatred hold them back from reaching their true potential. Flexibility and collaboration are crucial components to my work with clients so that I create an environment of mutual respect, support and safety. I assist people to change their life narratives by exploring their strengths, identifying the impact of intergenerational patterns in their families and helping people create positive support systems.
I am currently offering phone and Zoom sessions to clients living in California and Oregon.
